Overview
A week-long cultural takeover in the heart of Port Louis, Applause: Mauritius marked the debut of Matteo’s (Chinese Man) international platform on the island–blending workshops, residencies, and a high–energy club night to spotlight both Mauritian and French talent.
My Role
I coordinated the marketing strategy between the teams at ë and Applause, ensuring brand consistency, cross–channel visibility, and effective messaging across platforms. I also led ticketing strategy and management, and supported on-ground logistics for both the DJ masterclass and the club night.
Marketing Highlights
- Developed and executed a unified content plan across both ë and Applause digital platforms
- Oversaw private messaging to our internal community database, driving early interest and presales
- Crafted a digital storytelling approach through artist spotlights, behind-the-scenes content, and audience-led engagement
- Timed key announcements (lineup, masterclass registrations, ticket tiers) for optimal reach and momentum
Event Outcomes
- Club night sold out in advance, headlined by GЯEG (FR) alongside Matteo (Chinese Man), Meel B, and top local acts.
- High engagement across Instagram and direct messaging platforms
- Positioned Applause as a pioneering cultural force in Mauritius, opening the door for future editions
